Garry's Mod

Happy Easter! Today I am going to review a game that has peaked my interest lately, and that game is entitled Garry's Mod and can be found through Steam, an easy to use and very rewarding program. Garry's Mod lets you addon a various amount of downloadable content that is supported by the game program itself. There is a wide variety of weapons, characters, scenery, and physics-based mechanics.

This game has thousands of downloads open to the public, and allows you to play online with friends, or just in any game server being played. There are many maps to choose from, maps that are taken from other Steam based games, such as Counter-Strike Source and the Half-Life series as well. In addition to these maps are also the maps created by private users and from what I have seen can be very unique and fun to play. There is a lot of creativity used through out the game since objects can be frozen in mid air, welded together, and many other effects, modifications, etc.

Nearly everything in the game can be altered some way, from color and use, to binding and transforming, there are endless possibilities in Garry's Mod. I give the game a solid 8.5 out of 10. You can make the game how you wish, so nearly all can enjoy, it is online capable, and if you are running on Steam, then you can request your friends to play through the chat window.
